Children's Hospital was founded in 1952 by 5 mothers, and has become one of the largest service areas of any children's hospital in the nation. The hospital covers over 45,000 square miles, employes 500 doctors practicing in over 40 pediatric subspecialties, and has grown from treating 2,000 patients in 1952, to over 12,000 in 2006. Including 63,000 emergency & urgent care visits and 9,000 surgeries.

Children Can Help!

Your local Oak Valley Community Bank has Little Partners Collecting Change for Children Bags ready for children to start collecting change! They simply pick up a bag starting August 1st and then turn it in at the festival. Every child will receive a goodie bag, and will qualify by age to win great prizes (Wii, Electric Scooter, ipod, and more)!

We would love to get kids and science together at the festival! Kids teaching kids how hot air balloons work, the history of hot air ballooning, or current NASA Programs that utilize hot air balloons! All of these topics are fascinating, fun and educational! If your club is interested in participating in a science booth, please let us know.
